Our family!

Here's the picture the Peanut used for an art project at pre-school - they had a whole week about "Me and my Family." (We've had that camera for over two years - thanks, Dad! - and this was the activity that drove me to learn to use the timer on the camera.) We now have a small art collection of N's creations. It is really sweet to bring home things he made with his own hands.

Z is two months old!

Today Grammie gave her a tubby - you know the kind in a little inflatable tub that sits on the counter? She enjoyed it immensely but she's definitely outgrown it...she's such a big girl!

Her awake time during the day is longer and more interactive. She even responds to toys dangling from her carseat. But what she really likes is her mom and dad up close to her face and listening to her big brother talk about stuff. In fact, just this morning, she was fussing and dad held her close to N and told him to tell a joke to cheer her up. Basically he just laughed and shook his head around, but it worked!

You know how time both flies and stands still? I can't believe two months have already gone by *and* it seems like she's been a part of our lives all along.

Is it 2007 already?

So this is a "blog", eh? A one stop shop for pictures of our family and tidbits of goings-on? Well, sign me up! Here's what's new:

N started pre-school two weeks ago. After four days of tearful goodbyes at drop-off, he was saying "Goodbye, Mommy" only when prompted by a teacher. Ahhh, the emotional roller-coaster that is parenting.

Z is smiling more and starting to coo a bit, I'm pretty sure she said "Hey!" a few times this morning. We have her two month appointment on Monday, and as you can see, she is thriving (i.e. eating is fun!)

PS - Thanks for the idea, Em!
